Review...
A revised edition of this popular book. It features 25 circular walks beginning from a pub (with the option of having the pub en-route for nine of the walks). The routes vary from 4 to 9 miles and are spread throughout the whole of the Peak District from Holme in the north (near Holmfirth) to Wetton, near Dovedale in the south. The most easterly walk is at Baslow, with the western extremity being Wildboarclough (near Macclesfield). Each walk has a simple route map and accompanying instructions. The text is interspersed with black line drawings. A list of pubs, with opening hours and phone numbers would be of great help in planning a walk, but this is sadly lacking. Don’t let that put you off - there are some lovely routes and some decent pubs to visit.
